Muskrat (Ondatra
zibethicus) Skull
These are very handsome skulls with big yellow
incisors. Below is a full view of the specimen, found in a pine
plantation near a river.

You can find living muskrats if you search along river-banks or
backwaters. They are quite common, and if you're patient (they can
stay under water for ten minutes or more), you can often get quite close,
since they're not very shy. Happy muskrat-searching!
